Accessibility workshops across the state

Events Tasmania is partnering with Tasmania’s four Regional Tourism Organisations and would like to invite you to one of our workshops to be held across the state towards making events more accessible and inclusive.

Hosted in June, the workshops will be facilitated by Access Consultant Morwenna Collett to understand more about how to appropriately consider people with a disability in your work and how best to cater to different access requirements.

The workshops will deliver the following key elements:

• Introduction to disability and accessibility
• Audience development and making your event accessible
• Commence your own Access Plan
• Case studies of Tasmanian events that have successfully connected with the disability community.

The 3-hour workshop will look slightly different across the regions to accommodate for variances in the number of attendees, particularly in the North West as Morweena will be joining the West by North West annual Regional Tourism Forum given this year’s focus on Accessible Tourism.
